No connection to GSM network with Samsung mobile

    Hello,

I have Xubuntu 9.10 on Samsung N130 netbook and it works fin.

When I connect my mobile Samsung SGH-Z560 via bluetooth, the device is recognized and connected also as Dialup service, but when I try to connect to the mobile network the black little wheel on top right start to spin and after few seconds the message "GSM network - disconnected - You are offline" appears and the Nework manager icon remains with the two monitors with red cross (=> not connected).

    Authentication seems to fail.

I tried different combination of allowed methods (EAP, PAP, CHAP, MSCHAP, MSCHAPv2) enabling or disabling some as suggested inn the PPP Settings section of the connection but no way to establish the connection.

I already searched for a similar solved cas but didn't find one.

    Thanks to anyone can help.

    Ciao,

    Andrea

Re: No connection to GSM network with Samsung mobile

PS while trying again after reboot, the following error message appeared:

    "CDMA or GSM not supported"

After googleing it seems an issue related to a bug in Blueman app and to diferent types of networks (GSM, UMTS, 3G, CDMA etc.)

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks,

    Andrea
