9.10: Rhythmbox not picking up track/album data on ripping to mp3

    Hi All

I've upgraded to KK, and I'm finding Rhythmbox isn't filing songs/albums correctly in its library.

When I insert a CD, it gets the CD info fine - the track numbers, titles, album title etc are all displayed in the correct columns and when I play a track the cover art appears. So far so good.

But when I rip the CD to mp3, all I get is a list of filenames under "Unknown". If I select all the tracks and edit the properties, the album appears in the correct headings in the library. So it seems that Rhythmbox is picking up the data from the internet, but not including it in the mp3 files. It's setting up the folder hierarchy correctly, afaik.

Is there a fix for this?

    Cheers...

Bump. Any ideas, folks? Surely somebody must know. How does Rhythmbox pick up track names? Is there a config file that sets it up or something? All suggestions welcome.

    TIA...

Update: I just downloaded Banshee and it works fine, so it definitely seems to be a Rhythmbox problem.

    Anyone?
