Hehehe... Mas okay nga po yun. Ibig sabihin lang na more opplications are starting be more accessible for marginallized sectors, such as disabilities. I did tried it already up to the latest November, 2009 version, as screen reader user, hindi lang naman syempre yung mga basic navigational keys ang kailanang mag-function in order for an application to say na screen-reader friendly sila. Most part po kasi of proving whether it is accessible to any assistive technology or not all boils down to the users or even just giving it a try and using it for yourself (Without monitors po ah...) and really try to evaluate whether you'd see it without visually viewing it. Anyways, of course I really hand it to the developers ng mga applications na they are making it to a point to make it more available to other sector and market. Sabi ko nga eh, I also use other web browsers, and in terms of User interface, sobrang galing naman talaga ng mga developers sa paggawa ng user-friendly interface for it. Since open source naman ang webkit and all of the other browsers in Linux, it only goes to show na it has no limit in terms of its development. Kaya nga po sobrang pinu-push ko po ang advocacy ng open source software kahit most of the blind computer users I know are dependent in Windows. Another factor kung bakit firefox forever ako is that in Windows platform, firefox given na FOSS sya, pangalawa pa rin sya sa IE sa mga more accessible web browsers for people with disabilities, and sa Linux users, first... Hehehe... Anyways, enough of me blabbing... Basta FF pa rin ako... ![]() Of course, sobrang FOSS advocate ako, so I'm not limiting my preferences to what is only common, kaya I will hand it to all the accessibility team ng Linux at syempre sa inyo po...
