cant detect WLANs.

hi guys.. i'm super new po.. kaka-install ko lang ng ubuntu sa acer aspire 1700. luma ng laptop un. pero meron ng wifi,. tapos hindi ko makita ung wireless networks..

nabasa ko yung tungkol sa windows wireless drivers para nga ma-install. tapos nalabas "unable to check the hardware" basta ganun.
anu gagawin ko? ng-try na ako sa wlan adapter ng cdrking. hindi din xa narereconze.

teka.. sa pagkakaintindi ko sa problema mo eh, nag-install ka ng ubuntu sa laptop mo and sabi mo may wi-fi? may wi-fi card na naka-install sa loob ng laptap mo or may wi-fi ka na wireless network?.. if you could post a screenshot of your issue perhaps we can help.. naging issue din kasi sa'kin yung wireless dati eh.. teka would you know kung anong klaseng wireless card meron ang laptop mo?.

pede po ba malaman ang details specs ng laptop ? just to make sure lang po it has a wi-fi
kasi po lam ko sa aspire 1700 hindi wi-fi ready .... or you are using usb wireless adapter to connect to AP.....

ayy.. sorry, okay ganto kasi,
nung pagdating ng laptop na ito sakin, winxp home. tapos may wireless network dito samin, nakikita naman siya, pero hindi nakaka-connect. tapos nag ubuntu na ako, hindi na niya nadedetect. ayun

Naka install ba yung wireless card? If not subukan mo install muna using ndiswrapper kung meron kang Windows driver ng wireless card.

Hey guys, nag install ako ng 9.10 netbook remix on a lenovo S10. Problem is, wireless networking is not working. Dati ok naman sa 9.04. di ko rin maactivate yun Broadcom STA wireless driver under sa Hardware Drivers. Nag search na ko sa forums pero di ko pa rin mapa andar yun wifi.

Any help guys?

Try installing the driver of the WLAN device you have by going to Systems and then to the admin or the second menu then look for the wireless device options, mostly nasa buttom. Then install there the .INF file of your WLAN driver...
