Exclamation Single Channel Audio in Jaunty

    First of all:

I have everything plugged in correctly.

My sound USED to be perfect.

This error "happens" and "goes away" randomly.

After I obeyed the following tutorial:

    http://www.ubuntugeek.com/simple-gui...ope-users.html

I have absolutely NO sound output now.

Before I ever messed with this? I had the same exact problem in Intrepid Ibex and I upgraded to Jaunty to solve this issue, however it obviously still remains...

    Any ideas?

No ideas? I thought I read something about this being a rather common bug...hmmm.

*UPDATE* - 6-18-09 3:06 AM Eastern - I played a 'video'.mov file with SMPlayer (mplayer-related) and the audio 'by itself' cut in and out from crappy 1 channel to full 5.1 surround. It seems as though this may be a bug and it is indeed random and intermittent.
