Exclamation Newbie Alert

Hello all. I'm very new to Linux, in fact it's still downloading. I've reached my wits end with Vista and my XP install won't see my laptop's SATA drive. I'm not going to look backards anymore. So I asked my Linux-savy friend to direct me to the easiest install, so Ubuntu it is.

As soon as my ISO is done, I'm going to burn it and see if I can install in to the secondary partition on my system. So I'm trying to have a dual boot Vista / Ubuntu.

Any comments or suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks!

Jamison
