    Exclamation No Internet on boot-up

Hi everyone! My first post here and I'm pulling my hair out. I am running kubuntu under ubuntu 8.04 with KDE 3.? desk environment. All was running perfect until a few days ago, something happened to stop my internet connection running from boot!? I have to physically connect using Wireless assistant-Wireless LAN Manager from KDE Menu>Internet>

I have gone through re-configuring from System Settings>Network Settings, and have set to connect from start-up etc, but to no avail! I think I had this problem a year or so ago, and solved it by an edit in the Grub file or something, but I don't remember, and haven't managed to find any help elsewhere!! If anyone has a solution I'd be eternally grateful! Thanks in advance...........................
