Question How to print from my Mac to Ubuntu ?

Hi , I have ubuntu server 9.04 I think installed.

I can print from the ubuntu localhost to my HP LaserJet 6MP printer.

However, I have been trying for a couple of hours to be able to print from my Mac to the ubuntu printer.

Is this the right place to ask this ?

    Please help me

Perhaps. I know nothing about Macs, so I can't help you with anything there. On the Ubuntu machine, you should have samba installed, and the printer marked as shared.

Do you see the server on your Mac? If so, can you see the printer? If you can see the server but not the printer, that would seem to point to the printer not being shared from the server. If you can't see the server from the Mac, the problem could be on either machine. Make sure the server is configured properly, then you may have to go to a Mac forum to get it configured, but there may be some Mac experience by here soon.

From my mac I can do:

    http://myPrintserver:631/printers/laserjet

And then print a test-page for example..

Well, it looks like the server is working. How to set up the Mac so that it uses the http address as the default printer is something I can't help with, because I've never used a Mac.
