    Exclamation Installing a template in LyX using Ubuntu

    Hi..
    I'm writing my PhD thesis using LyX in Ubuntu 8.10. And I have a new problem, but now I don't get the solution.
    I would like to install a template in LyX. But I don't know how I should do.
    Probably I'm missing some really obvious step but i'll thank if any of you can help me.

    Re: Installing a LyX template in Ubuntu

    Templates are like normal lyx files (something.lyx). Create a subdirectory in your home directory and put it there. Then in lyx go to

    File---->New from Template

    The dialog allows you to select the subdirectory you have created. Your template can then be opened.
