Lightbulb Dell Vostro 1510 screen brightness issue

Whenever I exit a video game, the brightness is turned all the way up and won't come down to it's previous levels. If gaming sessions continue, after each game the brightness will go up a bit, even if it was at max before. Eventually it becomes very bright, washed out, pixely, and hard to read.

I've got a Dell Vostro 1510. It has an Intel Core 2 1.8GHz processor, WXGA screen (1280x800), and an Intel GMA X3100 video card. The only hardware I've had to configure thus far has been the Dell Broadcom card, which is using ndiswrapper.

This is a brand new laptop, so I haven't had time to test much. This happens with the native Unreal Tournament 2004 demo and WarCraft III in wine.

Has anyone else experienced this/know how to fix it?
