    Ubuntu Floppy Boot?

My HP laptop has not internal CED, only a USB one. How can I make a floppy that will boot Ubuntu from the CD so I can install it?

not sure if this has been done or not but I know Debian does have a floppy boot option that will allow you to boot either a cd or do a net install if you have internet access.

what's the difference between an answer and a solution? An answer is what they want to hear, a solution is what they don't want to hear

    See :

    community/Installation

There is a section on "No CD"
There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth...not going all the way, and not starting.
