I have recently converted to Ubuntu simply because my Wi/fi on Vista just stopped working, (kept saying "local only"). So my tech mate said how about using Linux? It may solve your problem, I immediately tried it out,to my amazement it worked (but one flaw). For some unknown reason, I have to open up "manual configuration" then go to wireless connection and change my configuration from "Automatic Configuration (DHCP) to I.P address, then back to DHCP for it to connect, even then it only stays for at least 20 mins then stalls? then I have to restart my machine and repeat the process???

-what's happening?

p.s, I'm not a computer expert so if you could use dummy language I would appreciate it.

Thanks, Josh
