    Do you have the build-essential package installed? What else is in config.log regarding that error?

    Re: Trying To Install Airsnort

    I meant 8.04 in my original post, not 8.10.

    I checked the config.log and I can't really understand what I am missing or how to get this installed...

    This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
    running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.

    It was created by configure, which was
    generated by GNU Autoconf 2.59. Invocation command line was

    $ ./configure

    configure:2147: checking for C compiler default output file name
    configure:2150: gcc conftest.c >&5
    /usr/bin/ld: crt1.o: No such file: No such file or directory
    you need the libc6-dev package
    if you have the 64bit ubuntu version then
    libc6-dev-i368
