Hi Dr small, thanx for your post but still cant find it in /var/WWW. In there, there is only apache2-default folder and index.html. Any suggestions ??

In the olden days it was in /etc/httpd (or /var/httpd)- not sure if that is still the case, but I'm going to find out next week when I go to set up my new box on ubuntu.
