ndiswrapper or fwcutter?? ppc

I have an ibook g4 with bcm4306 wireless card and I'm running Hardy. I can't get a wired connection to the computer because my router, for some odd reason, does not recognize my computer when I connect to it.
I do have another laptop that I can use for an internet connection. I know broadcom is difficult to deal with and there are many threads on previous releases of Ubuntu. I did at one time have wireless on Feisty but I went through a number of OS's since then.
Anyway, I need help. I've tried many threads and websites.

I have an ibook g4 and to be honest didnt have anyh luck with hardy and wifi. But I was using the beta hardy. I have had success with feisty and fwcutter. Make sure your router is set to b&g and not just g cos I dont think the airport card supports g.

Thanks for the advice. When I had Feisty, I used the same router, so I know the router's setup is fine. It's something with Hardy (and most likely my inability to problem solve) that isn't working.
