    cpu microcode

I'm currently using hardy heron on my desktop. the processor is an amd athlon x2 4600+ (windsor 65W). In one of my computer security classes we are supposed to access the cpu microcode and determine the PC's microcode update information and include the type and class of the processor and any unique microcode features.

Does anyone know of any program for ubuntu that will allow me to access either the microcode of the processor (dump it to a file) or give me the update version and the features?
