Post Auto logon for certain users

    Hi,

I use Ubuntu 7.10 on a home machine. One of the users is particularly bad at remembering passwords.

Seeing as the firewall effectively blocks and incoming connections and it's a low security machine (and this is getting very annoying) I'd like to configure it so when you click on this user from the GDM, rather than be asked for a password you are logged straight in. My account and every other account should be password protected as normal.

The closest my searching has found is enabling auto log-on, can anyone help?

    Thanks.

You can set the user to have no password. Just be sure the account is limited (ie no root access).

This is they way it works on the Ubuntu desktop CD FYI :
