Macbook 4,1 sound issues
I have installed hardy on my macbook and have got sound working following the walk throughs. However the sound in ubuntu is much quieter than in osx and is very tinny.
I have been messing around with every option i can find, but nothing seems to make much difference. Does anyone have the same problem, or even a fix? Thanks. |

Re: Macbook 4,1 sound issues
I'm having the same issue. Tinny sound, audible but quiet and low-quality. My macbook is second generation, I think, but the issue seems to be identical.

Re: Macbook 4,1 sound issues
i can't really help with your issue, but new questions should be posted in the new Apple forum:

Re: Macbook 4,1 sound issues
install GNOME alsamixer and uncheck the mute box under 'surround'.
