Screen invert causes freeze in Hardy Beta

    Hi all.

I'm running Hardy Heron on my blackbook, and was doing a little experimenting with the settings - to discover that inverting the screen image causes my screen to turn the default brown, and my panels to disappear. Nothing I do returns the default setting, including doing a fresh rewrite of xorg.conf; the problem doesn't seem to be there.

If anyone has experienced something similar, please share your experience, or, even better, your solution.

    Thanks in advance,

    RQ

Just letting everyone know, I was able to resolve this issue by logging in under the failsafe gnome session - the screen is still inverted, but fortunately enough you can still set the inversion to "normal" under system>>preferences>>screen resolution. Thereafter one can return to the standard gnome session.
