stucking by closing windows

Hi,
since I upgraded with a clean installation to version 8.04 I have the feeling that its more slow by closing and opening folder/windows. its seems that it is hanging a second.
I installed the nvidia driver with the envy tool and also activated the graphic acceleration.
I am using a Dell Inspiron 1520 with a nvidia 256MB graphic card.

Hope somebody has a idea.
If u need more information, please tell me, I am not that crack on Linux

you don't need to use envy on hardy (anymore), hardware drivers installs a more stable driver

Hi, thx for your answer. Now I switched to the preinstalled driver by uninstalling these one via EnvyNG but anyway, the problem is not solved. Also when I switch between different tabs in Firefox is for example the sound (mp3) stucking. I am really disappointed and dont know where I can start looking for this error.
