Connecting to wrong AP
I have set up my first Ubuntu today and all worked fine. The only problem is, that my Dell Notebook keeps connecting to an unsecured AP somewhere around here.
My AP does not send SSID.
There is no DHCP Service on the LAN.
I tried all types of security settings.
Even without security there was no connection to my AP.
I disabled the Roaming Feature and set up IP, DNS and GW manually.
Somehow I found that the DNS entry got lost now and then.
Anyway: Setting up the Wireless Card manually ends in no connection. Pinging localhost is ok, but no other pings are returned.
Setting up the wireless card with the "Roaming" feature ends in automatically connecting to the neighbours AP.
Any Suggestions welcome,
