    other midi software

    Hi

    i like making music on my computer and one thing i use is rosegarden. it uses to play the files timidity, but this does not have all the instruments i want it to have so is there another midi software that will allow me to have all the instruments i need for school work and messing around. your help will be much appreciated. thanks.

    I'm not a big midi or Rosegarden guy, but I'm pretty sure you can route Rosegarden's midi output to QSynth. That program loads up soundfonts as instrument banks so you can have all kinds of instruments - even different versions of each instrument.
