    Ugly font in 8.04

    I get very ugly Chinese characters in 8.04 resulting from the use of the AR PL Uming font (see attached screen shot). In earlier Ubuntu versions I could avoid this by copying the Cyberbit font to /usr/share/font/truetype, which does no longer help in Hardy. Where is the switch to manipulate the font substitution?

    i support you ,not only the chinese characters ,but also the english ones ,
    i can't stand by them ,so i am install yahei.

    No, I am German and living in Berlin, Germany. But I am doing a lot of work in Chinese. As you can see from the screenshot hte problem exists only in Chinese below a certain size of characters.
