Hardy Heron boot missing
I figured I might as well give Ubuntu another go, with Hardy Heron out today. I already have Vista Ultimate SP1 installed.
I have partitioned my hard drive in Vista to look like this:
Partition 1: Music (30gb)
Partition 2: Linux Swap (4gb)
Partition 3: Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 (186gb)
Partition 4: Ext3 Journaling FS (30gb)
I installed Hardy Heron no problems, until I rebooted. Ubuntu has the files in the right partition, but there is absolutely no sign of it existing in any bootloaders. All that there is, is the Vista bootloader, which still works fine. I double checked in VistaBootPro for Ubuntu, but nothing has changed in the BCD. Another thing that's worth noting is that whilst installing Ubuntu, it said that it couldn't find any other OS's to import settings from, which makes me think it doesn't know Vista exists.
I've done at least a little bit of searching for people with the same problem, but I can't really find anything that matches the problem I'm having.
