No Line In Sound

I have an Nvidia CK804 onboard sound card and everything works fine except the Line In. My Mic can capture sound just fine but my Line In refuses to work. It's not muted and it's set at max volume. What's going on?

Open the volume control (double-click the speaker cymbol in the gnome-panel)
Choose: Preferences

Add "line select" - or something similar to that.
After that you should have the button in the main window.

At least that's the way it works with most sound cards.
