I'm not suggesting you extract all of the stuff from openSUSE (although there is nothing to stop you but the waste of time and effort) - just run openSUSE. You will get something that looks like and works like SLED, and is really not that much different from Ubuntu in other respects.
For historical reasons, I run both distros each on several different systems, and like them (and dislike them) both in equal measure but for different reasons. If you like the SUSE look, then it seems to me much easier to just use SUSE (it is nothing to be ashamed of) than to try to make another distro look like SUSE!

I have installed opensuse 10.3 recently, but I have problems with it, And I prefer many things in ubuntu like package management ect..I just want the icons/theme. Somehow I always seem to completely fubar suse and have never done that with any other distro. 10.3 is great in many ways though.
