Same here... Xorg is using 600 MB of VIRT, 108 MB of RES and 10MB of SHR. When I open an application (even when I open the Gnome Main Menu) it swaps for a while, although I have no others applications open.

I use Gnome in Fiesty and I don't think I have any problem? This is what top shows:
5295 root 15 0 139m 123m 13m S 3 6.1 183:26.08 Xorg and my system has been up for: 08:48:33 up 4 days, 23:28, 4 users, load average: 1.31, 1.07, 0.58 it's already been reported as a bug and FIXED per this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...ver/+bug/92882
