Hello,
I also had the mentioned problems booting up an Ubuntu Installation.
So I also tried with these boot settings and it worked.

The thing is, I don't need any of these additional boot settings (just ubuntu default) when I disable
the HPET option in BIOS.
I have BIOS version 502.
Maybe this also works out for other setups.
