Talking Re: Help me make a free 'buntu emag...

the wiki (which linuxgeekery is still editing) is at :
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MarketingTeam/Magazine

If your not comfortable adding your own article to the wiki then email it to linuxgeekery at: articles@fullcirclemagazine.org

Anyway, here it is Issue #0 b1

It's only five pages so far but you can (i hope!) see where i'm going with this so far...

Still need screenshots of Breezy, Dapper, Edgy and at least one of Feisty.
And thats for all flavours (Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Edubuntu and Xubuntu) if anyone has any...

You MUST learn how to write properly before you write a magazine.
The phrase above should read: "If you're not comfortable..."

Good luck with your writing

Its amazing i use this forum loads but this is very first time i have posted something. This is a very good idea and i applaud those who are taking time to do this. Maybe an article about a first time user to ubuntu and their thoughts on it would be a good idea.

For all those new to the full circle, who want to help:

The Main Site

The Wiki

You should look at both, as they both have different sets of information on.

For articles, should I use mrmonday, or my real name?

Please use both.

Getting difficult to track forum users by their real names since some real names are nothing like the peoples forum name!

Re: Help me make a free 'buntu emag...

I am really interested in getting involved in such a project.

Having been using Ubuntu for over 1 1/2 years, I have learnt lots and could help many newcomers to Ubuntu especially including general use and shell scripting to general console commands.
I have also been developing on ubuntu and could provide information on many aspects of development in a variety of languages.

I have signed up to the mailing list, and I really think what you talk of is a good idea and something which will be well recieved.

Re: Help me make a free 'buntu emag...

i've now added review guidelines for people who want to review games/apps/hardware :
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuMagazine/MonthlyReviews

Still plenty of places left for articles in issue#1 (flavour install, open letters/debates, my desktop, reviews etc). Check the wiki for ideas and to see what categories are still needing articles... https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuMagazine

Just want to thank everyone here for all their help in making this happen.

Hopefully by the end of the Easter break i'll have over 50% of the Fiesty Fawn Preview Edition (issue #0) finished.

I owe you guys a LOT!
