Get rid of all instances of AMD/ATI drivers?
In a terminal:
If this returns "no such file or directory" it's fine. Just means that that is not present, but we need to make sure it's gone.
sudo apt-get autoclean
sudo apt-get clean
sudo sh /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh
sudo rm /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh
If anything is reported as installed then substitute "fglrx-xxxx" in the folowing code with the appropriae name(s). You used to be able to do this with a global, but now you have to specify each package.
This will probably return a couple of warnings:
sudo apt-get remove --purge fglrx-xxxx
If so. then do:
/usr/share/lib/fglrx and /usr/share/lib32/fglrx not empty.
sudo rm -rf /usr/share/lib/fglrx
If should then be gone and clean...
sudo rm -rf /usr/share/lib32/fglrx
