    No video in Linux

I just installed Mint KDE edition and when I use my graphics card (AMD Radeon 7770), I get to the post screen and then the GRUB menu. I select "Mint" and then that's when the problem starts. There is no vido what so ever.

I remember a while ago having to change the GRUB configuration with something like acpi=2006 or something like that, so if anyone could chip in with help I would very much appreciate it.

    Thank you

Although based on Ubuntu, Mint is a distro in its own right.

Might be the card, funny as mint is usually very good with graphics cards.

Need more information like what driver you loaded. I'm not touting Arch linux here, however if you go to the Arch Wiki install page, its got a very good section about installing video drivers. Because it explains how to do this manually, its really a good start when troubleshooting things.

Thanks for the help guys, but this is now *somehow* solved. I do not know how/ why, but now it is loading fine.

This thread can now be closed.

Also thanks for the link to the arch wiki, that is very interesting.
