My 14 year old daughter stopped using her HP mini 110-3130nr netbook a while back because it was just too slow and unstable. It was running Windows 7. So she was jumping onto other peoples computers to do her homework (most of her non-school stuff is done on her iPad). So I rebuilt the Netbook with Ubuntu 12.04 and XFCE and set her up with a few applications she needs for school.
She loves it - the performance is good, the interface is cool and everything "just works". - the trackpad, audio, webcam - and is rock solid. She is very happy, which means so am I.
