    12.04 -- Widespread Graphics Bug

I'm getting an odd graphics bug wherein parts of my open window will suddenly appear on other parts of the screen, sometimes zoomed way in, other times way out. It doesn't seem specific to any applications (it often happens with chromium-browser and terminal). Below is an example wherein you can see my entire desktop in most (but not all) of a gvim window.

Highlighting text will restore the proper graphics one character at a time, or you can drag the window around and the proper graphics are restored.

    And hopefully relevant information:

    Code:
    ~$ lspci
