ChrUbuntu Admin/User Guide

So, I have no idea how to use Ubuntu or any other Linux. I have the latest Chromebook, and recently decided to install Linux. I've read in multiple blogs about how to install it, but I want an Admin or user guide, in order to learn how to use this O.S unless....is it just the same if I read an Ubuntu admin/user guide? If so, can someone show me where to find it?

Firstly, it is considered polite to wait a day or so before you bump a thread. Anyone who is willing to help you here is a volunteer. You have to allow a bit of time for the right person to show up.

Secondly, there are any amount of guides available. If you are looking for general Linux guides, a search engine will show something like this

Specific Ubuntu guides can be found here

The search box at the top right of that page can help you find specific topics in relation to Ubuntu.

Ubuntu is a Linux distribution, so general Linux knowledge applies largely to Ubuntu. Some Ubuntu specific stuff wont apply to other distributions like Fedora, for instance, and vice versa.

This video helped me install ubuntu 12.04 onto my chrome c710 acer. I am also a noob to ubuntu, and have no idea about source or anything like that. THx for the links @audiomick, and thanks for the thread for I have not found anything about this subject yet. If anyone has any idea about anything - i'll be reading.

The latter post should help for tweaking the system - especially the comments section (they don't all appear initially so you'll have to press the show more posts button a few times til they all appear.

For reference, ubuntu works ok for me once you put cinnamon in it instead of Unity. No major issues so far - I've also upgraded to 12.10 with no hitches.
