    Word97 Hangs without Internet Connection

    Lubuntu 12.04/Wine 1.4/Gecko Installed on a Lenovo S10-3t netbook

    If I'm working off-line and start Word97, Word's splash screen hangs until I re-enable wifi. Then, all is well.

    Can also disable wifi *after* Word97 has been successfully started, and all is well.

    Haven't seen this issue in other Linux flavors, and I'm guessing it's a Gecko thing.

    If so, what can I do? If it isn't a Gecko matter, any other work-arounds?
