Friends,
I have a desire to install a PCI-X , FW800 card.
So i can mount read/write external firewire 800 drives.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a 'good' card.
I am considering the Allegro FW800.--So , i would like to think it will work once I put it in.

And generally - do add-in cards usually work?
what are expected challenges if any?
