Comp won't boot if both hard drives are plugged in

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but last night, all was well. Today, my system was lagging through BIOS and then would boot to a blank screen with a flashing underscore. I couldn't type anything.

When I unhooked my second drive (storage), everything works just fine. How do I fix this?

Do you get past BIOS? As in, can you operate within BIOS? If so, have you checked the disk boot order? The flashing underscore may indicate that the computer tries to boot an operating system that doesn't exist.

Not sure. I can try to reboot here in a moment and try that out. I don't know why I didn't think of that...I = doofus.
