Issues with Dell Vostro 1500

Hi, I am totally new to ubuntu and want to try it on one of my older laptops first. I have a dell vostro 1500 and was wondering if that works with ubuntu.

I looked up the Ubuntu Desktop Certification but while Dell Vostro 1450 and 1520 both work, the 1550 is not certified.

I was wondering if my Dell laptop will still work or if there is something it lacks which would cause problems once i install the OS.

Download the latest image Ubuntu - http://releases.ubuntu.com/quantal/
Try booting in LiveCD mode.
See the result immediately.
