Problem with animated wallpaper

Hi all, I downloaded a distro based in ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS and was coming with an animated wallpaper based in Christmas with many snowflakes all the time going up and down, is nice but you get tired of it, I try put a jpg image like wallpaper but still, any idea how to eliminate it?

I got it!!! I was searching in google and I found that in System-Preferences- you just go to applications start and deactivate the ones you don't need, in this case was something about snow, nice but annoying
