    configuring iptables

    hi pals, hope yur great,am in need of advice on how to configure the iptables in ubuntu server 11 lts and squid3, i just cnt seem to save any command input i make towards the iptables, ave tried both as a root user and /etc/rc.local/. I cnt find /etc/iptable.up.rules on my system so as to append the nat rules, and configure LAN... any advice

    There are lots of ways. If you are new to firewalls, especially iptables, perhaps starting with the ufw interface would help you get started? Be certain to read the ufw man page.
