    ubuntu and drupal server guide

    Hi guys
A few years ago I decided to setup my own home web server using ubuntu server as a base. At the time I knew almost nothing about ubuntu server.

I found drupal was pretty easy to install once you have the sever requirements down but thats the problem. Drupals documentation with regards to how to setup the server is pretty poor in my opinion.

While I found ubuntus guides acceptable I couldnt find any docs I was happy with that linked the ubuntu guides with drupal. Unless you are very familiar with ubuntu/linux its hard to figure out exactly what you need to get drupal working. With this in mind I started writing my own guide aimed at linux hobbysits who are not ubuntu experts.

I've written the guide as far as installing drupal and I'll go over that in the drupal forum but I'd like you guys opinion on the first art of the guide which is a walkthrough on installing a ubuntu server with the focus of getting it ready to run a drupal site. The intention is that anyone even with no linux/ubuntu experience should be able to follow it.

I'd appreciate you guys input on anything that could be done better or anything else that should be done but isnt or anything I've done incorrectly.
    Here is the guide.

Always do things the hard way. After a while you learn how to make the hard way the easy way.
