I'm thinking about making a Plymouth theme that's like this: it would consist of a rounded square that cycles through different colors similar to the way the "hue cycle spectrum" in Windows Movie Maker works (in that one color blends into the next one).

But I'm not sure how to implement this. What I would like is some pseudocode that could get me going on the appropriate functions. If anybody answers, I can put their name in the script credits.
