Okay, i've been trying this for days now. Googled hundreds of forums and all come with about the same solution, but none seem to really work for me.
Here's what i got:
Ubuntu Server 12.04
Everything, like web, DNS,e-mail in, and all other services work fine.
Can send my e-mails fine through webmail (roundcube)....
Just not when using an E-mail Client (like Outlook)
When i send an email i get it returned right away with the message:
Server error: '554 5.7.1 <email@example.com>: Relay access denied'
Now these are the (what i recon after all forum searches) important lines in main.cf of postfix:
myhostname = server1.hunique.nl
mydestination = localhost, localhost.localdomain
mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 [::1]/128
smtpd_recipient_restrictions = permit_sasl_authenticated,permit_mynetworks,reject _unauth_destination
I've tried the following:
- smtpd_recipient_restrictions = permit_sasl_authenticated, check_recipient_access, hash:/etc/postfix/filtered_domains , permit_mynetworks , reject_unauth_destination
But then i get the error in my mail log that the file doesn't excists, okay so i tried:
mydestinations = $mydomain, $myhostname, localhost, localhost.localdomain
Then i still get relay access denied with the following mail log error:
postfix/smtpd: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from unknown[10.1.10.3]: 554 5.7.1 <firstname.lastname@example.org>: Relay access denied; from=<email@example.com> to=<firstname.lastname@example.org> proto=ESMTP helo=<HunqiueWork1>
and i've tried variations on these, since most sites proclaim that that's the solution, but i can't really get further with this.
Anyone any bright ideas??
Thanks in advance.
