    vmlinuz for booting from vhd

I want to modify GRUB for mounting a virtual hard disk file at boot time and load the system from it. I've found some instructions, but doesn't worked for me. I'm running 12.10, 64 bit. Any help??? Thanks!

Re: vmlinuz for booting from vhd

I have been trying to do something similar but I think different goals. I have been trying to load Ubuntu 12.04 in a VHD using NeoGrub. It is apart of EasyBCD. Would you mind pointing me to the instructions you used for vmlinuz?

    Have you looked at this:

My reason: my new laptop came with 4 partitions and I do no want to disturb those (for a few reasons) but I want to move away from my other laptop.
