I recently got a second monitor hooked up to my system but am having some difficulty getting it working the way I want.

When I open an application in one window I can't move it to the other monitor. When I drag it across the screen it just moves me to the next screen, not the other monitor. This is also a problem because I can not open another Firefox window outside of the monitor I opened the original one in.

I am running Ubuntu Studio 12.04 and have a GeForce9600 GT graphics card. I have two different sized monitors.
