HP Officejet 4622

Hello,

I just purchased an HP Officejet 4622 All-IN-One printer/fax/scanner; and Ubuntu 12.04 does not recognize this printer.

HP is well known for being very compatible with Ubuntu, which is why I purchased it.

Is there a way to get Ubuntu to recognize this printer?

Also, how do I install from the repository directly as used to be possible in earlier releases of Ubuntu?

Is anyone aware of a current generation HP All-IN-One that's known to work or where to purchase it?

Thanks guys,

I think I found the drivers you were referring to.

I loaded "HPLIP Toolbox" from Ubuntu Software center.

Ubuntu then added the printer without complaint when I inserted the USB cable.

God, what a relief!
