I have an eeebox I have been using as a media center PC for some time. I was using Windows 7 with Boxee, but a friend of mine was using XBMC and I thought it was time for the change.
The issue I am having right now is that I have no audio over HDMI and since the TV is mounted and all cabling is ran inside the wall, I have no interest in running an analog cable. I would prefer to have audio over HDMI for all applications. I have read so much and thought this https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=124130 had solved my issue. It did not.
Here is the output of the audio devices.
Here are the choices I have in Sound PreferencesCode:inxi -A Audio: Card-1: Intel N10/ICH 7 Family High Definition Audio Controller driver: snd_hda_intel Sound: ALSA ver: 1.0.24 Card-2: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI RV710/730 HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 4000 series] driver: snd_hda_intel
Any help is appreciated.
