    Running Redshift or xflux with two monitors

    Try as I might, I simply can't get Redshift of xflux to cooperate with my system. When trying to run Redshift I get:

    GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_type_instance_get_private: assertion `instance != NULL && instance->g_class != NULL' failed
    Segmentation fault
    And xflux actually does work as intended - it's just that it only operates on my primary monitor. Using a two monitor system, this is extremely inconvenient and difficult on my eyes to switch between.

    Has anybody had any luck running Redshift on KDE? I've been told it works on both monitors.

    I'm using precise pangolin v. 12.04 and I've successfully ran Redshift. Basically, I downloaded Redshift from Ubuntu software repository and created a config file for it. I then adjusted the latittude and longitude settings to match my location. Here's a very helpful link to guide you through the process:
