    Extended Desktop Video Card

    Hi, basically, here's what I want to do.
    ---> VGA Monitor 1
    PC
    ---> VGA Monitor 2
    I want them to be an extended desktop, i.e. not mirrored. I'm going to have to buy a new video card for this, and was wondering if this would do the trick, with a DVI-VGA adaptor stuck on the DVI port.

    Yes, and it should work very well at that. Multiple monitors are one of the few things amd's linux drivers do better than nvidia's. A Dvi-vga adapter should work without any hassle. And I'm assuming that this would be for a productivity setup, and the 5450 is very energy effecient as well. It is EXTREMLY slow though, but for office apps it's fine.

    Thanks a bunch; I'm not really concerned about performance, this is going in a really old tower, powering some very old screens, and it's just really that I have documents I need to read and write to at the same time Thanks for the advice,

    Dan
