Looking for a Java emulator (Like mPowerplayer)

Is there a way to emulate cell phone java games on Ubuntu? I have tired mPowerplayer on wine but it requires a Java installation on wine and I didn't see a point since I have Java installed on native ubuntu. Does anyone know of a native linux equivalent? Or is it possible to load cell phone games directly off a java runtime?

Is there not a version of java for Linux?

can you download Java for Linux... I think it could work with it!
    For Windows Problems: Reboot
    For Linux Problems: Be ROOT!

Ok.....I take it you didn't read my post at all, congratulations....

I have Java installed, merely loading cell phone apps via a Java runtime gives errors and in most cases don't even load. I was looking for a native linux J2ME emulator that is dependent on java.

You guys, you can't just look in one place! The key to finding what you want to know is to go crazy searching multiple places in-depth.

Check the repositories, it is a app for running jar files there at the software center.

    Ubuntu Version 10.04.4
